Reina Mizell

Background
Reina is a 26 year-old graphic designer & marketing specialist from Minnesota.

Reina wants to use her skills in art & design and knowledge of science & humanities to positively influence the world. Reina was born to create; she breathes art and bleeds design.

Reina is modern jack-of-all-trades; she has experience in photography, physical, digital, 2D, and 3D media. With experience in marketing & sales, Reina is well-rounded, always considering the big-picture and minute details.
Education
Reina graduated high school with a silver honor in her STEM program, while juggling other honors classes and extra-curriculars. Reina's ability in Sign Language blossomed in high school, soon taking the position of President, and performing in multi-cultural shows.

Reina received her BFA in Graphic Design & Marketing in December of 2022 from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and graduated with Honors Destinction. Her minor in American Sign Language & Deaf Studies lends to her acute abilities to ensure that all her work is digitally accessible. While in college, Reina was involved in clubs both as a member and an officer, up to president.
 
As a result of Reina's ambition, curiosity and drive, she achieved an incredibly well-rounded education & work history.
Work History
Reina, a highly motivated employee, began working as early as she could. Reina's first job was a seasonal stint at the Minnesota State Fair at Lynn's Lefse stand in the food building.

Reina's second job was one of her longest; part-time at her local Dairy Queen. She worked there for more than three years until she found a job which wouldn't leave her covered in chocolate and ice cream: Joann Fabrics. She worked at Joann Fabrics for a year in 2018 before she landed a new "adult job" working in optical to get through college. She stated in the optical business at America's Best in 2019. In 2021, she changed to Eyemart Express, despite working full-time, she was also a full-time student from October 2020 until her graduation in December 2022.

Finally, in April 2023, Reina moved back home to the Twin Cities, where she landed her very first job in graphic design: Transport Graphics, where she worked from May 2023 to August 2024.

Soon after leaving Transport Graphics, she found a position as a marketing specialist at Rhinestones Unlimited. At Rhinestones Unlimited, she achieved more experience in social media marketing, SEO, eCommerce, and so much more in just three short months!
Volunteering
Recently, Reina has not had much available time to volunteer, however she does have a rich volunteer history from her youth:
  • Feed My Starving Children (2012-2016), twice annually; meal packaging.
  • CR United Methodist Church (2010-2018), at least 5 weeks annually; variety of leadership & service oppurtunities.
  • Community Mutual Aid (2024-current); independent.
