Ellingson Companies

Ellingson Companies began as Ellingson Lawn Care. Originally, their logo inicluded hyper-realistic grass and lots of details. Mr Ellingson requested a sleek rebrand that included the wide variety of services they provide. They primarily focus on "Hardscaping," which I learned is cement and other stonework in the context of landscaping. The "bricks" in the logo are a subtle nod to the bricks they lay, while also hinting at their diversity. For the font, I chose Excelsior Sans, which is modern, strong, and sharp, like Ellingson Companies. By happenstance, Ellingson Companies is also located in Excelsior, MN.

It was great working with Mr Ellingson, he gave me lots of creative freedom and after just a few revisions he was satisfied!
